Conclusion: Multimorbidity increases with age, the fact that the exclusion of the EuroScore parameter age in all age groups did not change the predictive value of the score proves that age is an independent predictor of perioperative mortality in cardiac surgery. It has to be clarified which independent factors are subsummized under the parameter age in the EuroScore. |
